SUMMER 2020

 

 

 

We are excited to be bringing back a program for summer 2020!  There will be new protocols to follow as per Athletics Canada and Athletics Ontario with regard to returning to training in a safe environment.  You can read more about the return to sport information here: https://athleticsontario.ca/return-to-sport/

 

There is a lot of information below, please read carefully.

 

Sprint Training Groups ** PLEASE NOTE BOTH SPRINT GROUPS ARE FULL - WAITLIST IN EFFECT***: 

There will be two training groups:

1 - for ages 12-14 with coach Dacey Richmond

2 - for ages 15 and over with coach Brodie Richmond

 

Throws Training Group:

Coaches  Melody Torcolacci and Tim Fawcett

Each training group will be very limited in size. 

 

Discipline Offered:  This summer, we will only be offering sprint and throw training.  Because of training restrictions, you will not be allowed to participate in both training groups.

 

Dates & Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays at CaraCo Field/Invista Centre starting Tuesday, July 28 and ending August 27th.  Training will run from 4:30pm to 6pm each evening. 

 

 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration Fee: $100 payable via e-transfer to kingstontfc@gmail.com only. We will not be accepting cash or cheque this season due to the increased risk.

All athletes will be registered as development athletes with AO.  If competitions do begin, we can look at upgrading your membership if needed.

AO Registration Form: Download form HERE. Must be returned to kingstontfc@gmail.com before Tuesday, July 28.

AO Assumption of Risk Waiver:  Once you have submitted your registration, you will receive a personalized link to the AO asssumption of risk waiver. You must sign this before attending any training.  

 

COVID-19 RISK MITIGATION

Health & Safety Officer:  Before each training session you will be able to check in at the track pavilion starting at 4:15pm (please do not arrive any earlier).  Once you have been checked in, you may proceed to your training group.  Please do not stop there first to drop off bags, etc. You will be required to depart promptly at 6pm.

While at the facility, you will need to maintain physical distancing and only use your own equipment. 

Please be sure to bring your own clearly labelled water bottle.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, we have very limited spots in the summer program. Your registration will not be completed until both payment, AO form and attestation waiver have been completed.

Competitive: Designed to provide a strong training program for athletes who want to improve their performance, technique, speed and stamina to enable to achieve their personal best and compete at the next level.  Competitive athletes are eligible to compete at all meets, including AO Championships.

Development: Designed to provide a strong training program for the athlete who wants to develop their skills and improve their speed and stamina. It is an opportunity to try the different events and achieve personal bests. Development athletes can compete in competition (except AO Championships and above) if they want to.

Masters: Designed for the athlete to continue their training and development and prepare for competition. The athlete can woron  their own program or be involved in club training.  All are welcome.
